In early Winter on a Bushcraft Trip I Build an all natural Primitive Bark Roof A-Frame Survival Shelter in the Fresh Snow and make a warm camp. I Cook my food over a campfire, I stay overnight with a wool blanket for my dog. Campfire cooking steak on a stick and cast Iron Cooking Breakfast bacon and eggs makes for delicious meals. I use Fatwood to light my fire and I harvest Chaga fungus and make tea. I wake to a fresh snowfall. Winter has arrived and transformed the forest into a beautiful blanket of white. . Using 1 huge piece of basswood bark I carefully remove from a fallen Basswood tree. I also use Leaves Debris and Sod as well as branches, sticks and twigs to insulate and boughs to make a comfortable sleeping platform. I chose a large boulder to shelter me from the wind and to reflect heat from my fire to keep me warm it holds the heat also and worked great.
