️ A Northern Fleet detachment of warships, performing long-distance missions in the Arctic Ocean, conducted a tactical exercise on a marine infantry landing on an unequipped coast of an arctic island.
The exercise was conducted on the Alexandra Land Island of the Franz Josef Land Archipelago.
According to the exercise scenario, the Northern Fleet Group of Forces was to repel the stronghold captured by illegal armed groups and ensure the landing of the marines. The mock enemy was designated by a personnel of the Northern Fleet coastal tactical group stationed on the island.
▫️ The anti-submarine sabotage forces and means of the Northern Fleet detachment of warships carried out covert landings from high-speed boats to conduct reconnaissance on the arctic coast.
The training combat began with an artillery strike against the detected enemy positions by the large anti-submarine ship Severomorsk AK-100 crews. A marine unit was then transported by a Ka-27 helicopter to the coast.
