UAE: Russia opens pavilion doors at Expo 2020 in Dubai

The colourful matryoshka-inspired Russia pavilion opened its doors to the public on Friday at the postponed Expo 2020 in Dubai, the first World Expo in the wider Arab region. As one of the most unusual structures at Expo 2020 in Dubai, the Russian pavilion was designed as a three-storey unit that echoes the concept of the famous Russian matryoshka stacked wooden dolls. Inside, visitors watched visual installations created with the use of high-level technological devices. According to the creators, visitors can not only learn about Russia’s scientific and cultural heritage, but also see the works of the brightest minds behind the latest cutting-edge technologies from Russia.
