JV - Nayba’ Hood Queen

Дженнифер Веларде вошла в историю хип-хопа как первая чикана (жен. версия чикано) рэперша, выпустившая альбом. Подписав контракт с Thump Records, JV вышла на сцену в 1994 году со своим первым синглом (и заглавным треком к альбому) «Nayba’hood Queen». С большим колчеством басса, она демонстрировала динамичный, молодой и высокий голос, который умело доносил свои тексты. Музыкальный клип JV на песню «Nayba’hood Queen», во всех отношениях стал отражением тех времён — это винтажный рэп начала 90-х, с огромными мешковатыми брюками, лоурайдер велосипедами и автомобилями. Она продолжила свою первую работу с It Gets No Reala в 1996 году, сборником в 2001 году и своим последним студийным альбомом Lady Bug, который вышел в 2002 году.
