A Child of the Library

It’s world book day, I’m at the bakehouse waiting for some bread to rise so I can knock it back, and the philistines are still closing libraries. Somebody once told me that the trouble with topical songs is how quickly they go out of date. I wish! This is seven years old and it’s still all too topical. I changed “the bankers” to “Carillion” and look, it’s bang up to date.
