The Legendary IWC

I’m maintaining the legendary IWC calibre . This movement was in production from 1946 to 1979. In 1944 IWC launched its first worldwide war watch for the British Army. The watches were made as wristwatch and they were waterproof. Collectors know them as the Mark X. Characteristic were the central hour and minutes hands and the subsidiary second at 6 o’clock. An arrow was placed under 12 o’clock to indicate property of the British Government. The first IWC Mark XI was launched in 1948 as pilots watches which were ordered by the British Ministry of Defence. A dear friend of mine sent me this lovely watch for maintenance.
