Motorcycle Board Track Racing ~ 6th Vintage Revival Montlhéry 2022

An exciting range of board track racers, stayer motorcycles and aircraft-propelled cars was on display during the 6th Vintage Revival Montlhéry, hosted at the legendary Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome. The Board Track Racer grid was dominated by Harley-Davidson but there were also a couple of Indian Motorcycles in the mix, together with a nice example of an Excelsior Super X. A Rudge was also spotted. In addition, two Stayer motorcycles rode with the racing crowd. These motorcycles are particularly impressive as they were built in the olden days by the pacers, using parts from other motorcycles, with engine displacements as large as 2.3 Litres and higher - simply mad. Finally, there were also aircraft-propelled cars “flying“ around the speedway called Leyat-Helica. Marcel Leyat - a French car manufacturer - believed, that if a propeller is powerful enough to power an aircraft, it surely could also power a car. His first creation he then called “Helica“. 0:00 Grid 2:5
