RARE Stevie Ray Vaughan I’m leaving you (Commit a Crime) REPAIRED

Stevie played this song on stage through his entire career, but a studio version was never released. Live recordings of the song did appear on his ’Live Alive’ album in 1985, a 1987 live recording appeared on the ’Pride and Joy’ VHS/DVD and again on the 2000 ’SRV’ box set (audio only), he even played it at the ’In the Beginning’ show in Austin in 1979, although that version was not included on ’In the Beginning’. Stevie and the band had two failed attempts to record the song during the ’Soul to Soul’ sessions in 1985, but both sound like little more than studio rehearsals and both were plagued by technical issues. I’ve taken the better of these two and ’restored’ it to a song that is a pleasure to listen to. Enjoy
