Look Out Nelson (1959)

Title reads: “Look out, Nelson!“ Portsmouth, Hampshire. Guns from Admiral Nelson’s ship “Victory“ are tested. M/S of Royal Navy officers and ratings guiding old cannon to the ground while it is being lowered by a crane. M/S of officers standing in doorway of low building, the “Victory“ is seen the background. Various shots of a civilian man putting light down the barrel of the cannon. L/S of shooting range / field where the cannon is to be fired. C/U of gun powder being put into the cannon. M/S of young sailor with sign reading: “Danger, no one is to pass in front of or rear of the proof butts while the red flag is closed up“. The cannon is fired electrically by remote control. After it is fired and clouds of smoke roll towards camera. M/S of an officer jovially playing with a cannon ball. M/S line of photographers behind screen. A larger charge is placed in cannon. A Naval officer touching off the cannon with a length of cordite, the cannon fires and the officer is shrouded with smoke
