The Railway Children - Worth Valley Railway - West Yorkshire Attraction

The Railway Children was filmed at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in West Yorkshire. We have travelled to West Yorkshire and Oakworth Station where we walk in the footsteps of the Railway Children, take a ride on the steam train and visit many of the filming locations in the 1970 film The Railway Children based on E Nesbit’s book. Even if you are not familiar with the book or the film, a ride on the steam train stopping at stations from the Edwardian period and hearing the chug of the train will surely take you back a few hundred years. If you want to do the Railway Children walk visit It was a wonderful start to our Yorkshire travel series where we will visit many of the wonderful places, towns and villages Yorkshire has to offer and find out more about other literary figures, like the Bronte sisters and James Herriot. Join us each week for more from Yorkshire. ❤ Please support our channel in one of the following ways
