Antonov An-225 Mriya of Antonov Airlines - World’s Largest Aircraft, UR-82060 The Antonov An-225 Mriya, NATO name Cossack, is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft that was designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Ukrainian SSR within the Soviet Union during the 1980s. It was powered by six turbofan engines and is the heaviest aircraft ever built, with a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tonnes. There was only one operational Antonov An-225 aircraft in the world! The Antonov An-225, initially developed for the task of transporting the Buran space shuttle, was an enlargement of the successful Antonov AN-124 Ruslan. Antonov An-225 was the longest-bodied, longest-winged and heaviest operational plane in the world. Its crazy large cargo compartment is big enough to hold 50 cars! The An-225 Mriya has since become the workhorse of the Antonov Airlines fleet, transporting huge objects once thought impossible to move by air, such as giant 150-tonne power generators. #Antonov #An225 #Mriya #8KNext Please SUBSCRIBE & turn notifications ON so you can see newest videos by 8KNext @StunningVideos
