Israeli settlers and soldiers drive away Palestinian father and sons grazing flock in pastureland

On Sunday, 19 Feb. 2023, at around midday, two settlers, one of them bearing a rifle, arrived at pastureland about three kilometers from the homes of Khallet Makhul, a Palestinian community. The settlers, who were escorted by a soldier, chased Yusef Bsharat (44) and his two sons, who were grazing their flock. One of the settlers shouted at Bsharat, swore at him and ordered him to leave. When Bsharat refused and swore back, two soldiers arrived in partial uniforms and one threatened Bsharat that if he returned, he would get “a bullet between the legs.” Bsharat and his sons ultimately left the spot.
