“Emerald” the Nicobar Pigeon, Green Island, 11 November 2023

The Caloenas Nicobarica or Nicobar Pigeon is the only living member of the genus Caloenas. The Nicobar Pigeon or dove is the closest living relative of the extinct dodo and Rodrigues solitaire. I spotted this one on 11 November 2023 (not 12 November) on Green Island.
