Shanghai Disneyland deserted after Covid closure

Across Disneyland, the voices of happy young children, tired adults and miserable staff are silent. The rollercoasters no longer roll, or coast. The hotel bedsheets yet to be defiled. This is Shanghai Disneyland, closed due to a single case of Covid. As part of China’s zero-Covid policy, nobody is allowed in, and nobody is allowed out, at least not without a negative test. Many were trapped on Monday after the abrupt announcement of the closure, although staff did let people who were stranded go on the rides, at least.
