The Royal Scots - the oldest Regiment in the Army, familiarly nicknamed in Army parlance ’Pontius Pilate’s Bodyguard’ - Troop the Colour in honour of their Colonel-in-Chief, The Princess Royal.“ Aldershot, Hampshire. Princess Mary, the Princess Royal, inspects troops of the Royal Scots regiment. Troops ’present arms’ and march with their flag (or colour). A military band play in the background.
