推手 Four snakes and Shou Bo

The Four Snakes Taiji are a practice of Tuishou, handed down from the Chen style, which develops the same concept of the 扠 Cha technique of traditional Chinese wrestling. The fact that this Tuishou is present only in the Chen style, which is considered an ancient Taiji, suggests that this working method is inherited from Shuai Jiao, because it is believed that wrestlings are more ancient than boxing. This video documents the moment I studied this exercise for the first time with Master George Xu and a performance by Master Ma Hong who called it simply: one hand clockwise, the other counterclockwise.
