Didi (Cheb Khaled cover) by Artists Across the Globe | Quarantine Project

Earlier this year, when the world literally shut itself down, a few artists from a few countries (India, Brazil, Egypt, France, and Greece) decided to come together and create something while having a good time. So we decided to cover a 90s classic, “Didi“ by the legendary raï artist, Cheb Khaled. The production of the song was done remotely and on a home recording software like Audacity. The drum beats, various layers of synth, guitar tracks, saxophone parts, and vocals were all recorded from scratch in literally 4 continents and mixed by me in my study room/home studio.
