Zarathustra - Zarathustra 1972 (Germany, Krautrock/Heavy Progressive Rock) Full Album

Single-album band from Hamburg, formed in 1969. “Zarathustra” was difficult to distinguish from other heavy progressive bands of the time. In 1971, a contract was signed to release an album with Metronome. The label’s doors were wide open to new bands, but it made many mistakes in promoting its artists. The musicians arrived at Windrose Studios in Hamburg in November 1971 to record the album with the support of producer Till Landsmann and engineer Friedrich Bischoff. The resulting album was imbued with the energy of heavy prog rock, a variation of the Teutonic “Uriah Heep” (“Gypsy” was one of their favorite songs) with the addition of organ parts in the spirit of Jon Lord. The group broke up in the spring of 1972. Tracks: 01. Eternal Light - 00:00 02. Mr. Joker - 05:50 03. Past Time -09:32 04. Nightmare - 19:27 05. Sad Woman - 25:01 06.
