The tremors occurred at 11:29 p.m. local time.
The epicenter was located at a depth of 20 kilometers, 30 kilometers from Cedar City.
The tremors were also felt by residents of Washington and St. George.
Eyewitnesses are sharing footage of the natural disaster on social media.
Furniture shook in houses, objects fell from shelves.
There were no reports of injuries or serious damage.
