Fairlight in Action (Pet Shop Boys Opportunities)

This is (what I believe to be) the first live performance from the Pet Shop Boys. Notice how on the video wall there are two main shows. One is a video playback sequence whilst theother is the video output from he Fairlight CMI. I’ve looked at this again and again and the Page R sequencer seems to match exactly the sound being produced. I is rumoured that both Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe were incredibly worried about this live performance as the Fairlight’s operating system was known to be somewhat flaky. A
