Skydiving Landing Hazards - Object Fixation - Hangar Banger

This student had an excellent skydive, but as they say “the jump isn’t over until you’re back in the hangar“. This student began his downwind leg too high for the approach he was taught. The student put himself in a bad position early and his best option at this point was to aim for a clear area, which appeared he was. At the last moment the student steered towards the building before colliding with it, face first. The student was not harmed, more than some light bruising from the incident, luckily.
