An abandoned modular session. The Hall ✨🚪✨ « Shadow » the last session of the series, taking place in the same huge abandoned place, during the 4 different seasons, marks the end of this special loop of my creative process. Connecting with it through the seasons, was a deep and very instructive experience, at so many levels. This place became a second home, always seeking, seeing and feeling beauty, and grace in the disorder, the destruction; harmony in the dissonance. Spring is now at our door, season of renew, regeneration, resurrection. Leaving the old self, enriched by everything that have been experienced, The best, the worst, and all that is in between, always with gratitude in the heart. Now is the of integrating the new being, driven by new deeper, and deeper, closer and closer. « You will seek it, and you will find it, if you seek it with all your heart. » The full 10’ session will be available on my YT channel. My sequences are composed on my piano, with my voice, or directly with my modular synth, and programmed into the Nerdseq sequencer, but i also use the Ground Control and the ER101 when i am in my studio. Pre-recorded samples of my voice, soundscapes of the place, instruments (all played by myself) and certain FX, are reinjected in the system via sampler modules such as the ER301, the 1010 MK2, STS, triggered, and mixed with the rest of the sequences. The phase of composition, instrumentation and preparation of the session takes long weeks of work, sometimes months. This project has always been entirely funded by Chalisk and me, and is not really viable, it is purely about the process, the journey, about art & spirituality and the joy to share this experience with you. When time will allow it, i would love to make different masterclasses, about creative processes, but also about the technical side of it. With, among others; Nerdseq, er301, pamela, Autopilots, STOs, Mini Mods (VCOs/VCFs) DPO, Foundation Oscillator, Amp & Tone, Tonestar 8106, Mangrove, Saïch, Bartola Valves (VCO2, Fuzz, LPG, VCA), Marie’s LFO, Erbe Verb, Mimeophon, Verb, BDS, Verb, mk4, Panharmonium, Overseer, MSCL, VCA Matrix, lots of multiples ... It was the second time using our new homemade generator. Noiseless, light, perfect. It was developed during many months and builded by Chalisk. We try as much as we can to do things by ourselves.
