Maxine Nightingale ~ Right Back Where We Started From 1976 Disco Purrfection Version

Maxine was born November 2, 1952 in Wembley, London. One of three children born to Benny & Iris Nightingale, she sought out music by joining a band through school. That led to the start of her singing career and several singles were issued by Pye that did not make a dent on the charts at all. After a stint in the late sixties performing in a West End production of “Hair“ she moved with the cast to Germany and while an active cast member, stole the heart of the director whom she married and had a child with in 1973. She went back to London with her family in tow and left the stage behind. A fateful session found her vocalizing for Al Matthews 1975 single “Fool“ where producer Pierre Tubbs asked the writer of that song, J. Vincent Edwards to write something for her.
