Iceland volcano erupts ‘without warning’ AGAIN as terrified tourists flee

DRAMATIC footage shows the moment huge fountains of lava spewed into the sky as yet another volcanic eruption shook Iceland. Residents were forced to evacuate as a state of emergency was declared on the Reykjanes peninsula, just south of Iceland’s capital Reykjavik. A tourist in Iceland recounted her experience of being evacuated from a resort on Saturday (March 16) following a major volcano eruption. “I’ve never experienced anything like that before. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t scared or anything. I just hope everybody got out okay,” said American tourist Melissa Ezair via Zoom from Reykjavik, the nation’s capital, where she and her husband were taken in an evacuation bus. Ezair, who was on vacation at the The Retreat at Blue Lagoon hotel in Grindavik, filmed video showing the volcano spewing bright orange smoke into the air as the evacuation got underway.
