I wrote, produced and released an album on my own - The making of my album Celeste.
A potpourri of what it looked like when I was making my new album.
I wrote and produced the album solo, and also put it out independently on my own label La Boom Records. It’s a huge undertaking going full DIY but I can’t tell you how special this was. I didn’t have to make a single compromise and the music got to pour out in the free and rugged form that it wanted to. It was extremely enjoyable, even the 2 final months of recording with never ending construction going on right outside of my studio space. It’s my album number 5 and even though I cherish each of them this was the most liberating and fun to make yet, because of the freedom I felt. I also chose to not put it on any streaming services as a way to protest the circumstances musicians work under. It’s not sustainable in any way, financially or mental health wise, and I need to take a stand against it. So THANK YOU to every single person who decide to buy my album! It means the world to me. If you want to get your hands on a copy please head over to
I always knew I was going to produce an entire album one day but had a lot of fear and doubts holding me back. One thing I can tell you now is that you don’t need any fancy stuff to do this. Not a ton of expensive vintage equipment or top notch mics. I recorded my album in Logic X with some of my fave plug ins like Keyscape, Una Corda, Analog Strings, CMI V the fun little effect ones from Soundtoys like Panman and Echoboy. and a lot of logics own stock sounds. There’s plenty of good stuff in there, as long as you have the ideas and the music inside wanting to come out. I had a few really great musicians come in and play live instruments, like drums, trumpet, bass and choir on some of the songs, but the bones of the album was very much just me and my laptop.
Thx so much for listening to my music and supporting me in making it.
ALSO! Im going on tour in Denmark soon. Tix:
Much Love
