Ожидаемо последовали ответные меры. Революция на Кубе подарила советам нового союзника, именно на этом острове были размещены уже советские ракеты(в радиусе которых находился уже Вашингтон). За несколько дней кризиса мир успел приблизиться к тотальной ядерной войне и концу света. Но конфликт удалось разрешить. США пообещали не вторгаться на Кубу и вывезти ракеты из Турции, СССР также забрал своё оружие с острова.
