Deaf And Dumb Boxer Loses World Title (1957)

Paris, France. Bantamweight World Title boxing match between World Champion, Italian Mario D’Agata (who is deaf and dumb) and French Champion Alphonse Halimi, in progress. SV. Boxers sparring. D’Agata throws a right and Halimi counters with a right. They back away. CU. General scrapping, D’Agata trying to get into the body. LV. D’Agata has Halimi against the ropes as they exchange blows. SV. Boxers more or less wrestle with each other. LV. Each boxer flings a flurry of punches at each other, D’Agata has Halimi against the ropes again. Halimi lands a nice right. CU. Nice left from D’Agata, but Halimi fights back and they go into a clinch. Referee parts them. Halimi flings a nice left but D’Agata puts a right to the body. LV. A lovely uppercut from Halimi as they slog it out against the ropes. Referee breaks they again. SCU. Mauling in the middle of the ring, & SV. LV.
