My eyes always on the Lord
Psalm 16:8 (New International Version)
I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
As we examine the psalmist David speaking a miktam ( The Hebrew word miktam is a technical term that appears in the superscriptions of six psalms in the Bible, Psalms 16, 56–60, and is introduced as “A Miktam of David“ in Psalm 16. The meaning of miktam is uncertain, but some scholars have proposed a few theories:)
we see a reoccurring theme that is stressed throughout the Bible. That theme is about keeping our eyes fixed on the Lord. understand my brother and my sister the adversary is constantly vying for our attention in one way or another because he knows that if we can get our eyes off of the Lord we can be led astray. My prayer for each of us may we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus so that we are not able to be misled.
