Nokia N8 ♥ Screen Repair / Replace / Change a Broken LCD (AMOLED) or Touch Screen (Digitizer)

To replace a damaged LCD (AMOLED) or Digitizer you’ll need: T5 star type screwdriver. (search for torx on Maplin or Amazon) Plastic knife (or guitar pick) and some tweezers to grab the screws. If you need to replace the touch screen (digitizer) I recommend you get one that comes already in the frame. If you get one without the frame, you’ll need to use quite a lot of heat like a ’paint stripping hot air gun’ to soften the glue that holds the digitizer in place and then glue the new one back in. If you find the HOME/MENU BUTTON doesn’t work after doing this: Hold the power button down for about 10 seconds or until you feel 3 buzzes, this does a hard reset and seems to cure the problem. If it still doesn’t work, try re-flashing the firmware using Ovi Suite I’ve also read in the comments that removing and replacing the battery can help. Parts are very easy to find
