Special Exercises Doing Splits
In this video, I will begin by doing warm up exercises. From there, I will do a “seated straddle“ pose. Essentially, it is a split. I will use blocks to help me with leaning forward while in the pose. This will help stretch the legs, as well as your back. I do several stretching exercises in this pose. I will place the blocks underneath my ankles while in the “seated straddle“ pose. By placing the blocks underneath my ankles, it will maximize the stretch with your legs and back. Next, I will turn over and lean up against my shoulders on the floor, almost in a “thread the needle“ pose. I will spread my legs in a split, to maximize the stretch in the legs. Finally, I will go into a “lotus“ pose and do some cool down exercises after the routine.
