Richard Tice, leader of the right-wing Reform UK party, holds a news conference. Nigel Farage does a “great job” and must lead Reform UK if the party is to have any hope of “making inroads” at the general election, the deputy chairman of the Conservative Party has said. Lee Anderson said Reform UK posed a “bigger threat to the country than Labour” because of the right-wing party’s potential to pick up disaffected Tory voters. He praised Farage, who is honorary president of Reform and is said to be weighing up whether to lead the party. “I will say this, I’m not saying they’re a one-man party, but he is the figurehead is Nigel, he does a great job, but I think if they want any inroads, then he has to stand,” Anderson told GB News.
