How to Paint Bubbles (In Real Time) | KindredSoulArt

These bubbles are fun and forgiving! In this watercolor painting video I show you how to use a technique called negative painting to create dimension and depth for 3D-looking bubbles. A lot of people talk about how relaxing this kind of painting technique is, and it’s perfect if you’ve got a lot on your mind and you just want to zone out. Here’s what you need: - Some different sized circular objects you can trace (or a circle stencils) - Watercolor paint (I used MGraham watercolors, mostly blue/green colors and some black) - Watercolor paper (I used Arches 100% cotton cold pressed) - Watercolor brushes, a pointier one and a rounder one. (I used Silver Black Velvet sized 10 and Lowell Cornell size 4 round). - Glass of water - Bleedproof White (I used Dr. Martin’s). You can also substitute for a white gel pen, white gouache, or in a pinch white acrylic paint (although not ideal). - White Gel pen.
