The Queen joins virtual science showcase to mark British Science Week

The Queen has taken part in a virtual science showcase with British scientists, educators and schoolchildren to mark British Science Week, a celebration of the role played in UK society by science, technology, engineering and maths. During the showcase, Her Majesty was joined by schoolchildren from Thomas Jones Primary School to hear from members of the Science Museum’s learning team, and saw first-hand how they have adapted their live experiments for remote learning. The Queen was also shown the latest updates from NASA’s Mars Perseverance mission and the recent meteorite discovery in the UK by Professor Caroline Smith from the Natural History Museum.
