Italy: Ash blankets neighbouring villages after Mount Etna eruption

Streets, squares, and roofs in Giarre, Milo, and Riposto in Catania region of Sicily have become carpets of lapilli and volcanic ash. Etna’s ash even covered roofs of cars and boats. “We have been on our boat flipping, and suddenly, the Etna eruption started again, and now we have two centimetres of Etna’s dust on the boat.
