More than 400 cargo trucks line up to enter Ukraine at the Polish border

On August 23, 2023, Dimitri Lascaris visited the Polish side of the Poland-Ukraine border, between the Polish town of Dorohusk and the Ukrainian town of Starovoitove. There, he found more than 420 cargo trucks waiting to enter Ukraine over a stretch of more than 10 kilometres. While driving away from the border and past this long line of trucks, Lascaris did not encounter any cargo trucks entering Poland from Ukraine. The scene constituted a vivid example of the extent to which Ukraine has become dependent upon aid from the West.
