Pacific Islands. Aerial views of two islands in the Pacific Ocean; a Pan Am aeroplane in the air. Several shots of holidaymakers in swimwear on a motor boat, travelling to Ile des Pines; their guide dives for lobsters in the sea. Beautiful shots of the pine-tree lined island; the guide pulls the boat in to the shore and the tourists get off and have a seafood barbecue on the beach. White sands and clear sea - it looks totally idyllic! On the island of Noumea we see various shots of the town, much influenced by the French colonialism. French children on their way to school; French fashions and perfumes displayed in shop windows; French-style architecture. On the island of Fiji a (local) corporal hoists a Union Jack flag up a mast at Government House; the changing of the guard ceremony is seen; the soldiers wear a uniform of military tunic and white Fijian skirt like a sarong. The men are then seen doing a native dance in traditional costume. A policeman / soldier in military uniform directs traf
