Switzerland - Furka Bergstrecke, Rack/Cog Railway, 31/8/2019

The DFB in Switzerland or Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke is a privately operated line depending largely on volunteer staff. They do a magnificent job keeping the line open in what are some of the world’s most hazardous conditions. The line has to be closed each winter because of snow which is so bad that a bridge must be dismantled each year and reassembled each spring.
