Written by Jim Morrison and Robby Krieger while in Laurel Canyon overlooking Los Angeles, the single People Are Strange reached number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1967. The Doors’ Robby Krieger and John Densmore shared the stage together for the first time in over 15 years. The two have discussed a Ray Manzarek tribute for years. Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, John Densmore and Robby Krieger formed The Doors in Los Angeles in 1965. The Doors started their illustrious musical career playing a few miles away at the Whisky A Go-Go on Sunset Strip, Hollywood.
