Advancing with Watercolor: Painting along the North Shore - Piers Park

This is part seven of a muti-part series which focuses on painting in the field - en plein air - and developing the sketch or study back in the studio. I feel it is very important for the artist to work from life on a regular basis. The paintings are not always what you hope but the experience yields an important knowledge of light , form and color. It is my experience that this translates into the painting repeated at the studio, and you know what - it is a lot of fun to sit and paint some of the beautiful scenes we see in our daily life!!
