Cementing Silver Out of Solution with Copper

I made a batch of silver nitrate to act as an electrolyte for my electrolytic silver cell. Once it collects a certain level of impurities, it’s time to recover the remaining silver and make a fresh batch. Which you can watch on my prior videos. This process is an exchange of ions between the copper and silver. Causing silver atoms to drop out of the solution as copper atoms take their place. Once this process is over, the new melted silver shot will goes into my silver cell for the final refine. #science #chemistry #subscribe Lithic Metals is a precious metals refining company that specializes in producing beautifully crafted hand-poured gold and silver bars.
