This year’s parade, held under the slogan “Love rules“ marked 20 years since Belgrade’s first gay parade which ended in scuffles with police, anti-LGBT protesters, and the LGBT activists, leaving hundreds injured and arrested. Today’s parade was attended by international representatives from all over Europe. Hundreds of special police forces were deployed across the city centre to protect the event, blocking the streets around the parade.
