Full Length Portraits In Small Spaces | Take and Make Great Photography with Gavin Hoey
When space is tight making a full-length portrait that looks right and is also evenly lit can be a little bit of a photography challenge. Firstly, using a wide-angle lens for portraits can be tricky but also, where do you place your light? What sort of flash works best for full-length portraits?
The good news is Gavin Hoey has some simple answers to help you get perfect full-length portraits. Gavin starts by showing you how shooting at waist height will make a huge improvement to the perspective of your full-length portraits and then turns his attention to lighting. Using a single Flashpoint Evolv300 flash, Gavin demonstrates the effect of near and far flash and also the shadow results from a small and a large light source.
After the shoot, Gavin fine-tunes the final photo with both some simple cloning in Photoshop and some clever perspective healing using the amazing Vanishing Point filter.
