What is the reason for the fuzzy gel electrophoresis?

Gel electrophoresis is a laboratory method used to separate mixtures of DNA, RNA, or proteins according to molecular size. In gel electrophoresis, the molecules to be separated are pushed by an electrical field through a gel that contains small pores. According to the protocol, I don’t see many problems, if we look at the standard sample, the bands are satisfactorily separated. But usually when we have a high sample concentration, the band becomes more “full“, making it difficult to determine its size. If you decrease the concentration of your sample it is very likely that the band will become more evident. And a better resolution photo would also help to evaluate better. #dna #gelelectrophoresis #genetics #pcr #biology
