Chinese Replica Fender Stratocaster

This is a sound demo of my Chinese replica Stratocaster. It’s not for a critique of my playing, it’s to allow people to hear for themselves that these replicas can be good quality with a little work. All tones are provided by a POD X3 Live. No hardware has been changed on this guitar except a new nut. It was given a full setup and changed to 9 gauge strings, but otherwise is completely stock. The pickups give better than expected tone. They’re actually quite meaty for no-brand single coils and higher output than any other single coils I have access to. Apart from the positioning of the decal on the headstock and the lack of country of origin, this is a very, very passible copy. It feels fantastic to play with nicely polished jumbo frets. It plays on par with my Mexico Std Strat, yet sounds better and it cost way less.
