TalkTV can reveal a report into how 27 migrants drowned in the Channel after being abandoned by French coastguards will at last be published in days. The long-awaited UK Marine Accident Investigation Board’s report has taken two years and will now be released on November 9. It will detail the circumstances of the UK response to the tragedy which saw the worst disaster in the Channel in 30 years. TalkTV reports today that the French did nothing to help when the overloaded dinghy began to sink just off the coast of Sangatte INSIDE French waters. Twenty seven of the 30 people on board drowned. On the night of the disaster on November 24 2021, migrants on board the doomed dinghy rang both French and UK coastguards for help. British authorities insisted the incident was well inside French waters and should be dealt with by France. But the French refused to help - causing a catastrophic delay.
