Shimza BIOGRAPHY Shimza is a totem figure in south Atrica’s musIc scene and a house music leader in Atrica. Atter making worldwide waves with releases on Cadenza Records and Knee Deep in sound, shimza launched KUNYt (meaning together) in November 2020, an imprint that connects south Atricas emerging talent to the global stage. With KUNYE’s weekly livestream sessions, during lockdown, Shimza created a movement for AfroTech, uniting people through their love of music. Shimza’s musicality fuelled by the encouragement of his ever-supportive family can be traced back to the tender age of fifteen. In 2009, he launched his philanthropic One Man Show (OMS) to raise funds for underprivileged children. OMS now hosts over 25,000 people every year supported by South Africa’s highest profile artists, including: Black Cottee, AKA and Black Motion.
