Top secret work has been taking place in the RTÉ 2fm offices the last few months and today we revealed a taster live on air! 2fm presenter Colm Hayes has put pen to paper and written a Euro 2012 anthem for pop sensations Jedward. The Colm Hayes Show will be teaming up with record label Universal and pop duo Jedward for Ireland’s most unofficial of unofficial Euro 2012 anthems. The charity single will be released in May with all proceeds going to the ISPCC. Jedward took a call from Colm live on air today. Speaking from their studio in London, the boys were about to start recording the new song. Excitement is already building around the 2fm studios for Euro 2012, with more details soon be announced. RTÉ 2fm’s Colm Hayes said: “Well the news is out and there’s no stopping us now. Jedward have recorded The Colm Hayes Show song for Euro 2012. It’s an idea we hatched about two months ago and I re-wrote the lyrics of Lipstick with the songwriters’ approval and turned
