As mentioned before, the 80’s saw a small resurgence of the ’Women-In-Prison’ genre that dominated the Drive-In circuit of the 1970’s. ’Chained Heat’ an American/German production, was one of the most successful. Produced on a mere $1 million budget, the film would go on to make its money back times TWENTY. Starring Linda Blair, Sybil Danning, Tamara Dobson and Stella Stevens, Chained Heat treads in all the familiar tropes of the genre, albeit with a new generation of B-movie starlets.
