Echo by Matt Dorsey

Echo is a song I wrote after reading about a Buddhist practice called Rain Retreat where monks would refrain from walking outside to prevent harming the worms that the seasonal rains would force to the ground’s surface. It was originally called “Rain Retreat“, but I never managed to fit those words into the song. This is what I think being a pantheist feels like in the form of a song.
