Runaway Train | Missing Children Brought Home By a Music Video

In May of 1993 the alternative rock band, Soul Asylum, created a song called Runaway Train, which would end up being one of the biggest hits of their career. When the band created a music video for the song, they wanted to show pictures of real missing/runaway children in it to keep the cases in the public eye. The video had a profound impact. Out of 36 missing children shown throughout the videos, 21 were reunited, or made contact with their families, after being recognized or deciding on their own to come home. Then in May of 2019, over two and a half decades since the original, a remake of the Runaway Train music video was made. Sang by the artist Jamie Commons, Skylar Grey and Gallant, it’s got a more modern sound but has the same message: to help bring missing children home.
